Tourney of Manannan mac LIR XLIV 

About Us

With the cool winds of winter chilling your bones, perhaps you should cast your eyes to the Canton of Tear-Sea’s Shore, where the 41^st Tourney of Manannan Mac Lir will happen in the balmy climes of Southern Atlantia. Plenty of fighting will be available with Armored Combat: 2 Tournaments -The Brooch Tourney will be first, format depending on the number of participants. -Great Weapon Tourney, format depending on the number of participants. Rapier will have 2 tournaments: – The Brooch Tourney will be first, format depending on the number of particpants – Save the Ale Tourney: fighters will have a mug of “ale” (read water) that they must keep in their off hand. Winner shall be determined by most water kept and most kills. A Cut & Thrust tournament may also be offered.

The more artistically inclined will find they will be challenged : The theme will be Love and War/Courtly Love.  First competition is a Largess Competition where each participant provides 13 pieces of Largess to be judges. 12 items are donated to Largess (Indicate if you want it to be donated to Kingdom otherwise it is donated to the Barony) and the 13th items of each entry is combined for the prize.
For the second competition the theme is exploring the duality of Love and War. Any medium displaying love and war, examples letters home from war or from home to the soldier at war. Poetry, song, items you would send to someone at war, etc.
